New countertops are one of the most popular upgrades to combine with cabinet refacing. Pacific Kitchens provides professional countertop and backsplash installation. During your Free In-Home Estimate, we’ll measure your existing countertops, discuss available materials, colors, patterns, and edge options, and provide an estimate for the countertop portion of your project, including removal of your existing countertops, installation of a new plywood sub-top to support your new countertops, and for your selected type of stone.
Selecting Your Countertop Slab
Stone slabs vary in size, pattern, color, availability, and price, and fabrication costs vary depending on the material and specifications of your project. Your Pacific Kitchens Design Consultant will explain the process and help you understand what to expect from countertop selection through installation.
Access and Use of Your Kitchen Throughout Your Project
At the beginning of your cabinet refacing project, we’ll remove your existing countertops and install a sturdy plywood sub-top to support your new countertops. This also gives you a usable surface while your cabinets are being refaced and your new countertops are being fabricated. We’ll install and connect your new kitchen sink and faucet near the beginning of the project, so you’ll also have a working kitchen sink throughout most of your project. For most Pacific Kitchens customers, the kitchen sink is out of service for only one night during the entire cabinet refacing and countertop installation process.
Custom Countertop Fabrication
Your countertops are custom-fabricated specifically for your kitchen and installed after the cabinet refacing work has been completed, providing the finishing touch to your newly transformed kitchen. Fabrication minimizes seams and takes all countertop cutouts into consideration (i.e. Sink • Faucet • Soap Dispenser • Air Gap • Water Filtration Faucet • Cooktop • Other Countertop Accessories) to achieve the best possible appearance.
