10 Steps to Professional Refacing

1. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS are drawn in your home for your kitchen cabinet remodel by our highly trained and qualified draftsman. This enables PACIFIC KITCHENS to manufacture the custom made doors and drawer fronts to the exact measurement required for your kitchen cabinet reface.
   
   
2. MANUFACTURING is the next step. PACIFIC KITCHENS uses state of the art equipment and only the finest materials available to ensure quality products are produced for your kitchen cabinet reface.
   
   
3. Now your kitchen is ready for SCHEDULING. With our state of the art tracking system we use throughout the entire process, we keep pace with the material, inventory and labor requirements for your kitchen remodel.
   
   
4. REMOVAL OF EXISTING DOORS AND DRAWER FRONTS is the first stage of the actual construction process. These doors are either donated or recycled and they are not used to manufacture your new doors for your cabinet reface.
   
   
5. We will STRENGTHEN AND REPAIR CABINET FRAMES for your kitchen remodel if they need to be repaired. PACIFIC KITCHENS then carefully sands and prepares the exposed frames to ensure the proper bonding will take place.
   
   
6. PACIFIC KITCHENS will then BUILD OUT THE BOTTOMS OF ALL UPPER CABINETS for three reasons. It allows us to seal the underside of the cabinet frames from any moisture in the kitchen; it prevents the lower rail of the cabinet from chipping and splitting and is much easier to keep clean.
   
   
7. Next we LAMINATE all sides, under cabinet bottoms, toe kicks and face frames with a top quality wood ply veneer or plastic laminate. We use a special low v.o.c. double bonding process where our cold adhesive is applied to both the panels and the cabinet faces to ensure an unbreakable bond. This method of laminating sets us above the rest of the industry. Hand filing is done after all surfaces have been covered. This gives you that “furniture quality finish” for your kitchen remodel.
   
   
8. NEW CUSTOM DOORS WITH CONCEALED HINGES AND DRAWER FRONTS are now installed for your kitchen cabinet reface. Doors and drawer fronts are made from solid oak, maple, cherry or a High Density Fiber-Board (which is used to make fine furniture) covered with plastic laminate or Rigid Thermal Foil (RTF). For wood installations all materials are sanded, sealed, stained and finished with a catalyzed lacquer which gives your cabinets a furniture quality finish.
   
   
9. Matching MOULDINGS, DOOR & DRAWER HANDLES, PULLS AND BUMPER PADS are now installed to complete your kitchen remodel.
   
   
10. We then REMOVE ALL DEBRIS and your kitchen is complete for all to enjoy.
